Back in the old days, the sole purpose of your kitchen cabinets was for storage. They used to be built on site, attached to your walls and then painted white. Sometimes these cabinets were built right onto your walls. These cabinets didn’t have all the nice amenities that are available today. People didn’t care what their kitchen looked like as long as they had enough room to store their stuff. More storage space was an advantage to these cabinets, seeing that many of them didn’t have face frames.

Well today you can achieve that maximum storage space, and you don’t have to sacrifice design to get it. With frame less, or euro style, cabinets you are able to access more usable storage space. These cabinets, well, are exactly what you’re probably thinking of, a cabinet box with a door. But they are so much more!

They have thick 3/4″ sides that are doweled and glued together for maximum strength. Easy to clean melamine laminate interiors and matching wood veneers on exposed ends. Wider and deeper drawer boxes. And they have a wide selection of door styles and colors to choose from. And because they don’t have a face frame to limit your space, you have, on average, 26% more storage.

If you want to see an example of these cabinets please visit PCS cabinets by RSI at www.rsipcs.com.

Last Saturday I met some customers of mine at Arizona Tile. If you’ve never been there you should check it out. Arizona Tile has a plethora of tile and stone to choose from.

From the minute you walk in you are greeted by their helpful staff. They offer to help you in any way and they don’t hover over you, like at a car dealership. Browse around the sales floor and you will be amazed by the many displays of tile they have.

The most amazing part of Arizona Tile is the slab showroom. Just head to the back of the store, put on a hard hat and take a gaze at all the beautiful stone slabs they have on display. Some of the colors they include are the popular Verde Uba Tuba, the beautiful Golden Wave, and the vivid Volcano. Those are just a few, they have many more to choose from.

Arizona Tile is a useful source to use for your kitchen or bathroom project. Bring in your samples and you will be able to envision the end result of your project.

Til next time. Have a nice day and thanks for reading!!

My name is Mark Barela and I am a Sales Rep, Designer, Online Marketer, Computer Tech, Craftsman and now a Blogger here at Cabinet Connection in Albuquerque, NM. I am 29 years old and happily married to my beautiful wife Myra for almost 8 years now. I am also the father of 2 wonderful girls, Madison and Malia. I am telling you about my family because that is what our business is centered on.

Woodworking, for the Barela family, first started with my grandfather, Phillip. He loved building furniture and little nick knacks in his backyard shop. That was his hobby and his passion. I remember going to his house as a little boy and always wanting to play in his shop. I can still remember the smell of the sawdust and the warm feeling I always got when I walk into that little building. Every time I make something out of wood, it always reminds me of my grandpa. I’m not the only one who inherited the craftsman gene. My father Mario and my uncle John also carry that trait. The sense of pride and accomplishment that we get from creating something out of wood with our hands is the reason why Cabinet Connection was started.

Cabinet Connection was founded by my father, Mario Barela, back in 1994. His vision was, and still is, to provide quality products and outstanding service to our customers. After 18 years of business, our company is still growing strong. We are a family based, locally owned business and we are here to provide you the best experience possible with your upcoming project.

There are a few reasons why I’m starting this blog. One is to help promote our business to a wider range of potential clients. Another reason is, I want to help you out. There are so many decisions to make when building a new home or starting on a home renovation. I hope that by providing you with useful information, like different trends, styles and functional layout options, I will be able to help take some of the stress off your shoulders.

I want to thank all of my friends and neighbors and I also want to thank all of you who I don’t know yet. Here is to many post to come!!
